Summary

Join Veriff's Biometric Solutions team as a Senior Software Engineer to maintain and improve the real-time Verification Platform, focusing on security, scalability, and maintainability. You will design and develop new systems supporting Veriff's vision for online trust. Responsibilities include leading design, documentation, and validation; building and maintaining automation services using Python; collaborating with engineers, data scientists, and machine learning experts; fostering cross-functional partnerships; and mentoring the team. The ideal candidate possesses over 5 years of experience building large-scale applications with Python, a strong understanding of modular design and SOLID principles, and experience with scalable APIs and message-queuing. Strong communication skills are essential. Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience building large-scale applications with Python
• A strong understanding of modular design approaches and SOLID principles, particularly in distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with building scalable and maintainable APIs and message-queuing concepts
• Proficiency in various test strategies, ensuring robust and reliable software solutions
• Solid understanding of fundamental relational database concepts
• Familiarity with structured logging systems
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate and motivate technical ideas to both engineers and non-engineers

Responsibilities

• Taking charge of the design, documentation, and validation processes for product and system development, ensuring top-notch quality and innovation
• Building, testing, and maintaining our automation services using Python , contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of our platform
• Working closely with a diverse team of engineers, data scientists, and machine learning experts, both within and outside the team, to tackle complex challenges and drive forward our vision for identity verification
• Owning and nurturing cross-functional partnerships, including working with dependency engineering teams and product stakeholders, to align goals and strategies
• Mentoring and guiding the team, ensuring they are well-equipped with the necessary skills and aligned with our mission
