Join Voovio, a global deep-tech company, as a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the development of a core part of their proprietary front-end library. This remote role, based in Spain, requires leading the design, development, and optimization of a JavaScript-based front-end library, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring high performance across browsers and devices. You will write and maintain efficient, clean, and reusable code with minimal external dependencies and develop interactive 3D experiences using WebGL. The ideal candidate possesses a strong mathematical foundation and extensive experience in software development, particularly with vanilla JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5. Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
  • At least 5 years of professional software development experience
  • Deep expertise in vanilla JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5
  • Experience building complex browser-based tools or libraries from scratch
  • Strong understanding of web technologies, browser behavior, performance, and layout/rendering
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • English level B2 or higher
  • Must reside in Spain and legally authorized to work here

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of our proprietary JavaScript-based front-end library
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver new features
  • Write and maintain efficient, clean and reusable code with minimal external dependencies
  • Ensure high performance and compatibility across different browsers and devices
  • Develop interactive 3D experiences using WebGL where applicable

Preferred Qualifications

Solid mathematical foundation (e.g., geometry, linear algebra) and familiarity with WebGL is a plus
