Senior Software Engineer

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in object-oriented programming, API development, and relational database design.

Requirements

• Expert-level knowledge in object-oriented programming
• 5+ years of experience with API development/management
• 3+ years of relational database design and support at scale
• Experience with Javascript frameworks (React)
• Experience scaling systems in a cloud environment (AWS)
• Basic understanding of financial technology applications
• The ability to dissolve complex requirements into manageable units of work
• Demonstrated aptitude to proactively manage project development and tasks
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design, code, and document software in C#, .NET and Typescript/Javascript
• Collaborate with other engineers, UI/UX designers, quality analysts and product managers from product development teams across the company
• Implement best patterns and practices of object-oriented design: avoid redundancy and promote efficiency, testability and supportability of code
• Contribute to code reviews and help foster a culture of innovation within the team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Amazon Aurora / RDS
• Experience integrating multiple platforms through APIs and asynchronous messaging
• Understanding of TDD and unit-testing strategies
