Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Join Zoomo, a leading platform for accessing ebikes for professional use, as a Senior Software Engineer. You will be a key member of the Technology Team, building the next generation fleet management system and other critical software solutions. This role involves building tools from the ground up on a global scale, impacting both the business and customers. Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building, shipping and maintaining highly scalable web applications
• Fluency in Typescript and an understanding of at least one other statically typed language
• Experience writing unit and integration tests
• Strong knowledge of architectural designs and best practices
• Experience building and documenting REST APIs
• Experience deploying applications in the cloud (ideally using GCP)
• Experience with deployment pipelines (eg. GitHub Actions, Cloud Build)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other engineers and team members to help deliver Zoomo’s technical vision, strategy and roadmap
• Independently scope, design, implement and release significant new features and functionality that have a high impact on our customers; both internal and external
• Contribute to the discovery stage by assisting engineering, product, design and operations teams to validate assumptions
• Engage in software architecture discussions to help evolve Zoomo’s software platform to meet the growing global expansions
• Work with managers and engineers to help define high standards for code, deployments and documentation
• Coach other engineers in their technical progression
• Participate in technical knowledge sharing sessions to promote best practices and the latest technology trends

Preferred Qualifications

• Transport, LEV, or IoT industry experience
• Experience with infrastructure as code (namely Terraform)
• Experience with or a desire to learn frontend frameworks (especially React) or App Development (iOS/Android)
• Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced startup environment
