Summary

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field and 4+ years of relevant experience (or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or PhD)
  • A background in state of the art robotics sensor calibration algorithms, SLAM, sensor fusion, 3D reconstruction or odometry techniques
  • Deep understanding of numerical linear algebra and optimization algorithms
  • Experience with camera, lidar, radar or IMU sensors
  • Experience with geometric computer vision, images, lidar or radar processing
  • Strong C++ Coding skills for real time applications
  • Proficiency in python programming

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop novel calibration solutions that can work in a factory, or in unstructured, uncontrolled environments across a diverse range of sensors - camera, radar, lidar, IMU
  • Design, evangelize, and help implement a set of calibration technology solutions that result in a vehicle platform that remains aware of its calibration state at all times, and remains in calibration as much as possible
  • Leverage excellent problem solving skills to develop complex, scalable and robust software in C++
  • Provide coding and design expertise; driving code reviews, testing strategies and mentoring more junior team members
  • Contribute to a high performing team that delivers reliable software through design reviews, code reviews, continuous integration and automated testing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience calibrating devices or robots in a factory or manufacturing line environment
  • Experience with production robots operating in an uncontrolled environment
  • Experience with autonomous vehicles
