Senior Software Engineer, Data Governance

Summary

Join Mixpanel as a Full Stack Engineer on the Data Governance team and build high-impact features shaping the future of the platform. Collaborate with engineers, designers, product, and go-to-market teams to create innovative data governance solutions. You will own key product pieces, maintain them, and advocate for improvements to enhance user experience. Work across the stack, developing endpoints and UI, contributing to a shared components library and expanding the design system. Projects involve creating ways for customers to share metrics publicly, rebuilding and rebranding Live View to Events, revamping dashboards UI, redesigning the query builder, and making segmentation faster. Requirements

• Strong full-stack engineering experience with deep expertise in one stack (React, Typescript, Python, Django)
• Proven ability to own problems end-to-end and unlock customer value
• Comfortable working across the stack — from implementing APIs to polished frontend UIs
• Focus on data and metrics to prioritize “what actually matters”

Responsibilities

• Build and ship customer-facing web application features for Data Governance and related experiences
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and GTM partners to define and deliver high-quality solutions
• Lead projects from idea through launch, including monitoring and follow-up
• Drive business impact while maintaining a healthy balance of speed and technical excellence
