Senior Software Engineer - Development Infrastructure

Summary

Join Abnormal Security's Development Infrastructure team and play a critical role in enhancing software development and engineering excellence. You will focus on building and maintaining CI/CD infrastructure and tools, streamlining local development, and improving security for engineers. This involves owning the design and delivery of complex features, setting up local development environments, developing and maintaining CI/CD infrastructure and build tools, and providing engineers with reliable workflows. You will actively participate in the software development lifecycle and collaborate with the team to stop cybercrime using AI. The ideal candidate possesses a passion for helping others build world-class systems and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience as a hands-on engineer building backend systems and/or platforms
• 2+ years of experience working with Python
• Experience working on or with teams like “Engineering Effectiveness”, “Engineering Productivity”, “Development Experience”, “Development Infrastructure” or similar
• Customer obsessed: Working with our internal engineers to determine the Engineering Effectiveness roadmap. Meeting with customers to understand their needs
• Experience working on complex and delivering projects end-to-end

Responsibilities

• Own design and delivery of complex features areas of the Development Infrastructure team offerings, and work on the roadmap for this area
• Setup local development for engineers at Abnormal Security platform
• Develop and maintain CI/CD infrastructure and other build tools
• Provide Engineering with the tools and workflows to develop their changes reliably with less effort
• Actively participate in stopping cybercrime with AI
• Participate in planning, code reviews, standups, and other aspects of the software development life cycle
