Senior Software Engineer (Frontend)

Summary

Join BigCommerce's B2B team as a Senior Software Engineer and contribute to building and maintaining systems for B2B merchants. You will utilize JavaScript, React, and other frontend technologies to develop web applications, collaborate with product and design teams, and engage in technical discussions. This role requires at least 5 years of experience building products, a BS in Computer Science or equivalent, and strong communication skills. The position offers a competitive salary (MXN 954,000.00 - 1,345,000.00), health, vision, and dental insurance, and equity. The role is remote and requires fluency in English. Applicants must reside in Mexico.

Requirements

• You’re a trusted professional with at least 5 years of experience building amazing products
• BS Computer Science or Equivalent
• You have a solid understanding of modern programming and design principles. You write tested, maintainable code that you are proud of, and you are committed to keeping code quality high
• You’re an excellent communicator. You can explain not just your ideas, but the reasons behind them, and you’re comfortable doing that in person, over slack or email, or in a code review
• You lead by example. You own your work and hold yourself responsible for the results

• Use JavaScript, React and other frontend technologies to build and maintain web applications
• Collaborate with our product and design teams to define feature specifications and timelines
• Engage in technical discussions to design new solutions and architecture
• Review your peers’ code to maintain and improve quality and security

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional experience with TypeScript is a strong plus
• You have experience monitoring and operating microservices
• You are passionate and knowledgeable about modern technologies and tools, without being biased toward a specific technology. You’re more interested in finding the right tools and patterns for the job
