Summary

Join GlossGenius as a Senior Frontend Engineer and play a crucial role in developing our core product areas, including booking, scheduling, and payments. You will design, develop, and maintain high-quality user-facing applications using React.js and/or React Native, collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers. This role requires 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on frontend development and proven expertise with React and/or React Native. Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on frontend development
  • Proven expertise with React and/or React Native for building robust applications
  • You have experience working in a collaborative environment involving different functions, stakeholders, and subject matter experts
  • You have a desire to work in a fast paced environment, a bias for action, a passion for self-improvement, and helping to elevate and mentor those around you
  • You're comfortable picking up new technologies (our team builds on Ruby, React, Kotlin, and React Native, and our stack will continue to evolve.)

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality user-facing applications using React.js and/or React Native
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliver effective solutions
  • Actively participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality, performance, and maintainability
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues across our frontend and backend systems
  • Help define and uphold engineering standards, best practices, and documentation
  • Proactively identify and address technical debt and areas for improvement within the codebase
  • Contribute to the continuous integration and deployment pipelines for web and mobile

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with backend development preferred, including API design and implementation
