Summary
Join Babylist's Fulfillment and Operations team as a Senior Software Engineer to modernize and internalize the warehouse technology stack. As the first to build and grow this area, you will leverage your 6+ years of experience with HighJump/Koerber/Infios Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to optimize fulfillment operations. You will serve as the internal subject matter expert for the WMS, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders. Design, implement, and deploy solutions to improve efficiency, translating real-world challenges into technical requirements. Collaborate closely with the Technical Product Manager to solve business-critical operational problems. Occasional travel to the Ohio Fulfillment Center may be required.
Requirements
- A high-performing engineer with 6+ years experience delivering end to end solutions that drive business growth
- Extensive experience in SQL and at least one other programming language
- Possess a growth mindset, excellent communication skills, and a hunger to learn new things
Responsibilities
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert for our HighJump/Koerber WMS, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver and optimize key fulfillment center functionality
- Design, implement, and deploy solutions that improve fulfillment center efficiency
- Translate real-world fulfillment center challenges into technical requirements and map them to the HighJump/Koerber system, often with limited specifications
- Collaborate closely with our Technical Product Manager and in this domain to build solutions solving business-critical operational problems
- Provide thought leadership around process, tooling, systems, and software architecture
- Improve and help maintain existing systems
- Working in a close, supportive team solving real-world problems and making decisions
- Mentoring other team members through design and architecture planning, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Identifying opportunities for new product initiatives founded on your knowledge of the technical landscape and WMS capabilities
