Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack

Summary

Join Maze, a user research platform, as a Senior Engineer on the Product Engineering team. You will design and deliver impactful features, collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams to build scalable and maintainable systems. Your responsibilities include owning projects from concept to production, contributing to architectural decisions, writing high-quality code, and mentoring teammates. The role focuses on building features for user researchers to analyze qualitative data, expanding audience management, and integrating video and scheduling tools. The ideal candidate is proficient in full-stack JavaScript (Node.js and React), relational databases (PostgreSQL), and possesses excellent communication skills. The position is remote, with a preference for the UK or Portugal.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Building elegant features for user researchers to analyze and extract compelling insights from qualitative data, using both classical techniques and large language models
• Expanding audience management to help researchers connect with and reward participants from across the world
• Integrating video and scheduling tools to provide a streamlined experience for managing and booking user interviews
• Partner closely with product managers, designers and other engineers to design, build, and ship new features
• Establish best practices, frameworks, and repeatable processes that enable us to measure the impact of every feature that we ship
• Evaluate and improve the performance, maintainability, and security of applications in production
• Work in a collaborative and open team, which places high value on feedback, continuous learning and trust

Preferred Qualifications

• You have Next.js, NestJS, GraphQL, and/or TypeScript experience
• You have experience with AWS and/or Kubernetes
• You're interested in UX, UI design, and the research field
