Senior Software Engineer I

Summary

Join Braze's Currents team as a Senior Software Engineer to build, maintain, and evolve our data export system, handling tens of billions of messages daily. You will be a key engineer on a collaborative team, bringing projects from concept to production and improving high-scale systems. Requirements

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience
• Experience building foundational systems at scale and spearheading software projects that significantly advanced the goals of your organization
• Leads by example. Excellent at mentoring engineers. Makes your colleagues better
• Self-starter with great communication and organizational skills and experience working in a highly collaborative team environment
• Experience with Kafka at scale, or comparable technology
• Professional experience working with distributed systems and/or microservices

• Build, maintain, and evolve Currents, our data export system at scale
• Be a key engineer on a highly collaborative and skilled team, responsible for bringing projects from concept to production and improving our existing high-scale systems
• Leverage your experience, your skills, and a strong sense of teamwork to tackle the significant engineering challenges of running a critical data streaming system

Experience with Java, Kotlin, Confluent, or React
