Senior Software Engineer I

Summary

Join Dandy's Billing Team and contribute to the transformation of the dental industry. As a Software Engineer, you will collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to build new features and products. You will own problems end-to-end, focusing on user experience, data models, scalability, and metrics. The role requires proactive identification and prioritization of improvements to team processes and codebases. You will primarily work with TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Node, and PostgreSQL. Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working as a software engineer
• Experience with modern web tooling and frameworks (such as TypeScript, React, Apollo, Storybook, and Webpack)
• You’re self-directed and can operate autonomously to deliver scaled impact
• Ability to hold yourself and the team to high standards
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Work closely with other engineers, designers, and product managers to build new features and products
• Own problems end-to-end, thinking through everything from user experience, data models, scalability, operability, and ongoing metrics
• Proactively identify and prioritize improvements to the team’s processes, codebases, and best practices
• Work primarily with Typescript, React, GraphQL, Node, and PostgreSQL

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with billing, payment and sales platforms (ex: Salesforce, Stripe, Avalara)
• Experience in building complex software systems to handle high volume transactions
