Senior Software Engineer I

Summary

Join Olo, a leading SaaS platform in the restaurant industry, as a Senior Backend Engineer. You will contribute to the development and scaling of solutions within the Olo Engage product suite, working with a passionate team using modern technologies. This fully remote position, based in the UK, involves designing and building reliable solutions, owning deployed code and services, resolving production incidents, and researching new technologies. You will be contracted through Deel, maintaining your day-to-day relationship with Olo. The compensation range is estimated at £57,600 - £70,000 annually.

Requirements

• 6+ years on-the-job development experience
• Experience with architecting and developing end-to-end flows in a distributed/microservices application architecture
• Experience writing unit tests and testable code
• Bias for working in a highly collaborative team environment
• Empathy for customer needs and excellent communication of your understanding

Responsibilities

• Design and build reliable but simple solutions to complex problems at scale
• Own the code and services you deploy, observe performance, and identify emerging problems
• Assess and resolve production incidents that arise in the components your team manages
• Help us scale to the next level of growth and reliability as we onboard new enterprise clients
• Research and propose new technologies to apply
• Look for diverse perspectives, and challenge business and technical assumptions
• Provide constructive criticism in a way that builds the team's overall strength
