Senior Software Engineer I, Front End

Summary

Join HubSpot's Email Product Group as a Front-end Engineer and contribute to the development and maintenance of our high-impact email application. You will build new features, work closely with product managers and designers, and mentor junior engineers. Requirements

• Professional industry experience, ideally with Javascript, or similar programming language
• Experienced with React framework - Angular, Backbone or Ember experience will be considered
• Software Architecture skills - design and maintenance
• Experience in building and debugging performant user interfaces
• Experience building performant and reliable web applications
• Work with HTML, CSS and related styling technologies
• Strong collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Build out new features and perform maintenance on our Subscription settings, Manage Preference pages and Contact subscription status
• Work closely with product manager and designer to deliver a great user experience
• Construct complete web applications, primarily single-page apps written in JavaScript (React, Typescript, ECMAScript 6, Sass)
• Mentor junior engineers in areas such as architecture, design, coding, tooling and infrastructure
• Participate in code reviews
• Carry out system testing and debugging
• Provide technical leadership and direction for team projects
• Liaise with team members to solve development issues
• Design decisions with reliability, maintainability, usability, readability, performance, and scalability of the overall solution in mind
• Pager duty (on call rotations for operational support)
• Collaborate with wide variety of stakeholders across the organization for requirements gathering and solution design

Benefits

• Cash compensation range: 157600-236400 USD Annually
• This cash compensation includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay
