This role requires 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering with a focus on backend, infrastructure, or SRE, deep experience with a major cloud provider and containerization technologies, proficiency in IaC tools and CI/CD systems, and programming/scripting language skills. The ideal candidate will possess a collaborative mindset, excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and a passion for building reliable and scalable systems. Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, with a demonstrated focus on backend, infrastructure, or SRE
  • Deep, hands-on experience with a major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi)
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD systems (e.g., BuildKite, GitHub Actions, CircleCI) and how they relate to infrastructure deployment
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Go, Python, Bash)
  • A collaborative mindset with a passion for building reliable and scalable systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Evolve our CI/CD platforms with a focus on infrastructure automation and security to provide faster, more reliable, and secure deployment pipelines
  • Design, build, and maintain our core cloud infrastructure on our primary cloud provider (GCP)
  • Develop and manage our container orchestration platform (Kubernetes) to ensure reliability, scalability, and efficiency
  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate the provisioning and configuration of our cloud resources
  • Autonomously lead well-defined, multi-month infrastructure projects ensuring the stability and performance of our production environments
  • Collaborate with product engineering teams to understand their infrastructure needs, providing guidance and building solutions that support their services
  • Champion and implement best practices for cloud security and system reliability across the organization
  • Contribute to the team's roadmap and strategy by identifying opportunities for high-impact improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building internal developer platforms or portals
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms (e.g., Chronosphere, Prometheus, Grafana)
