Senior Software Engineer II

Requirements

• BS/BTech (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• 6+ years experience as an engineer building full-stack web applications as part of a cross-functional team
• 3+ years of experience working with SQL or other database querying language on large multi-table data sets
• 3+ years of experience acting as a trusted technical decision-maker in a team setting, solving for short-term and long-term business value
• 3+ years of experience coaching other engineers

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement scalable and performant solutions
• Partner, as a peer, with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and stakeholders throughout Aledade to develop and execute technical roadmaps using Agile processes
• Mentor and coach more junior engineers including thorough pull request reviews for other developers and be receptive to critical feedback on your own work

Preferred Qualifications

• Expert-level proficiency with at least one cloud environment, AWS a bonus!
• Expert-level proficiency with an infrastructure as code language, tooling, and design paradigms
• Familiarity with observability, including instrumentation of software and infrastructure
• Experience with maintaining a support model: including both proactive and reactive (dashboards and alerting)
• Experience designing reusable platform abstractions (e.g., golden paths, platform APIs, scaffolding tools)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience building continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, specifically in GitHub
• Experience with security and systems that handle sensitive data (ideal: experience with HIPAA and PHI handling)
• Experience with automated testing, including unit and integration tests
• Prior work in our tech stack a plus / nice to have: Python, Pulumi, Github Actions, AWS, Kafka and Databricks
• Passion for developer experience, and a mindset towards delivering excellent tools, processes, and workflows to support our group and others
• Networking expertise, with a focus on cloud networking
• A.I. tooling and LLM experience
• Advanced testing experience (e.g. Mutation, Chaos, and Load/Soak/Stress)
