Summary
Join Aledade as a Senior Software Engineer II and contribute to the maintenance, improvement, and expansion of our web application and data pipelines. Develop and implement scalable and performant solutions, collaborating with engineering managers, product managers, and stakeholders. Mentor junior engineers and provide thorough pull request reviews. Leverage your expertise in full-stack web application development, SQL, and database querying. Requirements
- BS/BTech (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
- 6+ years experience as an engineer building full-stack web applications as part of a cross-functional team
- 3+ years of experience working with SQL or other database querying language on large multi-table data sets
- 3+ years of experience acting as a trusted technical decision-maker in a team setting, solving for short-term and long-term business value
- 3+ years of experience coaching other engineers
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement scalable and performant solutions
- Partner, as a peer, with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and stakeholders throughout Aledade to develop and execute technical roadmaps using Agile processes
- Mentor and coach more junior engineers including thorough pull request reviews for other developers and be receptive to critical feedback on your own work
Preferred Qualifications
- Expert-level proficiency with at least one cloud environment, AWS a bonus!
- Expert-level proficiency with an infrastructure as code language, tooling, and design paradigms
- Familiarity with observability, including instrumentation of software and infrastructure
- Experience with maintaining a support model: including both proactive and reactive (dashboards and alerting)
- Experience designing reusable platform abstractions (e.g., golden paths, platform APIs, scaffolding tools)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience building continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, specifically in GitHub
- Experience with security and systems that handle sensitive data (ideal: experience with HIPAA and PHI handling)
- Experience with automated testing, including unit and integration tests
- Prior work in our tech stack a plus / nice to have: Python, Pulumi, Github Actions, AWS, Kafka and Databricks
- Passion for developer experience, and a mindset towards delivering excellent tools, processes, and workflows to support our group and others
- Networking expertise, with a focus on cloud networking
- A.I. tooling and LLM experience
- Advanced testing experience (e.g. Mutation, Chaos, and Load/Soak/Stress)
