Responsibilities

• Consistently demonstrate strong, autonomous problem-solving skills
• Lead a team's complex projects with many moving parts (technologies, teams), ensuring all aspects are completed
• Take on the team's most challenging problems with minimal guidance
• Point out long-standing technical problems, propose solutions, and advocate for their resolution
• Design multiple architecturally sound, scalable, elegant solutions of medium-large complexity
• Help set team direction and priorities by partnering with the TL, PM, and other engineers
• Provide experienced guidance and feedback on technical designs, decisions, and projects
• Step in as TL for an interim period (e.g., during a transition, vacation, sabbatical, or parental leave)
• Embrace a growth mindset and consistently develop deeper or broader technical skills
• Serve as the go-to person for your technical domain
• Mentor other engineers on the team
• Promote quality in engineering best practices
• Be a critical IC on multiple projects with significant and sustained customer impact
• Expand focus into other problem areas and work on multiple teams
• Master additional technical platforms
• Take on broader system design work, owning larger areas of the product
• Work on framework-level technical architecture and design
• Build scalable, performant, cross-platform features
• Work closely with the TL, PM, and PD to guide the team's direction
• Serve as the cross-team technical leader for big projects
