Join our Remote Assistance Autonomous Vehicle Engineering team to develop and test remote assistance interfaces that enhance communication between human Remote Assistance Operators and the autonomous systems of our vehicles.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related technical field
• 5+ years of experience in C++ development, with a focus on testing and validating robotic systems
• Proven track record of leading complex software projects, with a strong focus on testing and quality assurance
• Extensive experience developing and shipping robust robotic solutions in high-stakes environments
• Excellent software engineering fundamentals, with a passion for developing well-structured, well-tested, and scalable systems

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with data science and autonomy teams to develop robust test and validation plans of remote assistance capabilities and maneuvers
• Develop and test remote assistance solutions that surface critical vehicle telemetry, diagnostics, and environmental context to operators, improving safety and efficiency
• Conduct comprehensive testing and analysis of risk and performance across various AV capabilities to enhance remote assistance systems
• Lead the test and validation of interfaces between vehicle subsystems, ensuring robust communication and data flow
• Champion engineering excellence, emphasizing the importance of high-quality code, testing, and safety standards in safety-critical environments
• Stay updated on the latest AV research and integrate practical findings into system enhancements
