Senior Software Engineer, Product Engagement

Summary

Join Gemini's Product Engagement team as a Senior Mobile Engineer and contribute to building our mobile trading platform and integrating our non-custodial smart wallet functionality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver high-quality web applications, create efficient and reusable UI components, and lead and mentor engineering teams. This role requires in-person presence twice a week in either Seattle, WA or New York City, NY. You will scope and implement solutions independently, establish and refine development processes, conduct code reviews, and resolve complex problems. Staying updated on industry trends and incorporating best practices is essential.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 4 years building mobile applications with React Native
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with React and React Native
• Strong understanding of UX/UI concepts with a proven ability to contribute to design and product decisions
• Expertise in unit and integration testing
• Experience using data to influence product decisions
• Up-to-date with mobile industry innovations and best practices

Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with web3 libraries like viem, wagmi, and permissionless.js
• Familiarity with performance analysis tooling
