Summary

The job is for a Senior Software Engineer to develop an AI operating system for kitchens to reduce food waste. The role involves contributing to product development, creating AI platforms, training models, and ensuring smooth operation of visual data through a web interface. The tech stack includes Python, Node, React, JavaScript, PyTorch, Tensorflow, Terraform, AWS.

Requirements

Experience with Python, but we're still open to considering people with experience in C++, Clojure or any other JVM based language

Responsibilities

• Develop a scalable and extendable product which is utilised with the pilots we have with global restaurant chains
• Contribute to the most imperative parts of the product development process, including understanding client needs through research, conceptualising complex ideas into interactive prototypes and validating ideas through user testing
• Create the underlying AI platforms that are used for storing and annotating data
• Train models and run inference at scale for thousands of video streams and provide real-time actionable insights to help monitor and capture resources at scale
• Ensure that complex operations involving visual data can be performed smoothly through a web interface
• Develop a reliable backend which heavily communicates with ML models through events; our deep learning frameworks of choice is Pytorch and Tensorflow. There's no requirement for you to know these as will help you learn!
