Senior Software iOS Engineer

Summary

Join Encora as a Senior Software iOS Engineer and be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient applications. Lead technical projects, mentor junior engineers, and improve software development practices to ensure robust and reliable software systems. The role involves working with iOS and Android developers, product managers, designers, and clinical professionals to create medical imaging experiences. You will produce high-quality Swift code, following established coding standards. This remote position is available in Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Bolivia.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Extensive experience in software development with a focus on designing and building scalable applications
• Professional/ Advanced English skills
• +5 years of experience
• A track record of professional achievement and problem solving
• Experience with native iOS application development
• A strong grasp of the Swift language
• Understanding of modern functional reactive programing iOS design patterns (RxSwift/Combine)
• A strong grasp of one of the following: UIKit or SwiftUI
• Experience with Unit Testing and knowledge of XCUITests
• A passion for creating something meaningful

Responsibilities

• Collaborating on technical mobile requirements through iterative problem-solving sessions with iOS and Android developers
• Working alongside product managers, designers, and clinical professionals to break down user requirements and develop new medical imaging experiences
• Producing high-quality, efficient, and well-tested modern Swift code
• Following the team established Swift coding standards to keep the code high-quality, efficient, and tested
