Senior Software Test Engineer

Summary

Join StrongDM as a Senior Test Engineer and lead the development of our end-to-end test infrastructure. You will be responsible for planning, designing, automating, and executing automation plans, ensuring the delivery of high-quality automated tests. This role requires extensive experience in QA/automation engineering for large-scale distributed systems, proficiency in programming languages like Python or Go, and hands-on experience with cloud technologies such as AWS and Terraform. Requirements

• 5+ years of QA/automation engineering experience on large-scale distributed systems
• Proficiency in Python and/or Go and automation frameworks
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, and other similar cloud technologies
• Hands-on experience in integration of automation using CI/CD tools
• Experience in planning and executing QA/Automation tasks to completion and taking ownership of quality during a set of sprints
• Experience in designing, implementing, executing, and analyzing automated tests for complex, production system software

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end quality and automated tests independently
• Translate product specifications into robust test plans covering all aspects of testing including smoke, functional, reliance, performance, load, scalability, and security
• Develop robust test automation that is reliable and maintainable and provides accurate assessment of product quality
• Integrate test automation scripts into build system for repeatable execution
