Summary
Join Neo4j's Sales Engineering team and collaborate with customers across various industries, providing technical guidance and designing Neo4j-based solutions. This role involves close collaboration with account executives and stakeholders to translate business needs into graph solutions, leading discovery conversations, presenting prototypes, and supporting the full pre-sales lifecycle. You will engage with large and strategic accounts, focusing on new business and expanding existing relationships. This remote position is based in Germany or the DACH region, requiring strong understanding of complex solution architectures and the ability to position graph technology within enterprise platforms. Success depends on strong customer-facing skills and experience with database technologies and data modeling. Requirements
- 5+ years in PreSales, Solution Engineering, or Professional Services roles, preferably in complex enterprise environments
- Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to uncover pain points and translate them into value-driven solutions
- Experience with database technologies and data modeling, ideally including NoSQL or graph-based approaches
- Familiarity with enterprise data architectures and integrating graph technology into complex, multi-system environments
- Hands-on development experience with one or more languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript)
- Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes and contribute to the growth of strategic accounts
- Fluent communication skills in German and English (spoken and written)
- Self-directed, proactive, and comfortable working in a remote, cross-functional organization
- Willingness to travel across the DACH region and occasionally within Europe
Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to all stages of pre-sales engagements, from discovery to technical validation
- Design and present solution architectures that align with customer objectives and technical environments
- Collaborate with account teams to position Neo4j's capabilities within broader enterprise platforms and initiatives
- Deliver demos, proof-of-concepts, and technical workshops tailored to specific use cases
- Act as a trusted advisor to both business and technical stakeholders throughout the sales process
- Support proposal development, including RFPs, RFIs, and complex evaluations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Neo4j or other graph databases (property or RDF-based)
- Exposure to Graph Data Science, GraphRAG, LLMs, or AI/ML integrations
- Knowledge of data integration methods including ETL, virtualization, or data federation
- Experience with BI and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Grafana, or Neo4j Bloom
