Join our expanding data team as a Senior SQL Developer/Data Engineer in Brazil! This full-time, work-from-home position requires strong SQL development skills, AWS data services experience, and Power BI proficiency. You will design, develop, and optimize data solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights. Responsibilities include building ETL/ELT pipelines, leveraging AWS services, and developing Power BI dashboards. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SQL, relational databases, and ETL tools, along with AWS data services experience. Requirements

  • Experience in SQL development and data engineering roles
  • Expert-level proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries, views, functions, and stored procedures
  • Strong understanding of relational database concepts, normalization, and indexing
  • Hands-on experience with major RDBMS platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
  • Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, Talend, or custom scripting
  • Proficiency in AWS data services (e.g., Redshift, Glue, S3, Lambda)

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures to support business and application requirements
  • Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and integration across multiple systems
  • Collaborate with analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver efficient, scalable solutions
  • Leverage AWS services (e.g., Redshift, Glue, S3, Lambda) to build cloud-native data workflows
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support business decision-making
  • Monitor and improve database performance through indexing, query tuning, and execution plan analysis
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all data assets

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Power BI for data visualization and dashboard development
  • Familiarity with data modeling techniques (dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas)
  • Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for data manipulation
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git)
  • Exposure to data governance, data cataloging, and metadata management tools
