Senior Staff Cloud Security Engineer

Summary

Join ServiceNow's Security Engineering team as a Senior Staff Cloud Security Engineer and play a key technical role in securing ServiceNow's public cloud across Azure, AWS, and GCP. Requirements

• Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI’s potential impact on the function or industry
• Master’s degree in computer science; engineering, or information technology and 12+ years of work experience
• In the absence of a degree equivalent work experience of 15+ years to demonstrate domain expertise
• Extensive knowledge of multiple public Clouds like AWS, Azure & GCP foundation services related to compute, network, storage, content delivery, administration, security, deployment and management, automation technologies
• In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Linux, UNIX, and Windows)
• In-depth knowledge of networking (routing, switching, load-balancing, intrusion detection systems and firewalls)
• Proficient in programming languages and scripting (Java Script, Python, Bash, C/C++) and common CI/CD practices
• Experience in infrastructure automation tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform and equivalents
• Experience with containerization on Cloud, AKS or EKS (Dedicated/Managed/Serverless Kubernetes)
• Experience with Cloud Security Posture Management
• Experience with cloud native security services and commonly used 3rd party Security tools like Wiz, Prisma, Crowdstrike ,Illumio is required
• Design security architecture for hybrid clouds
• Automating operations and capacity planning
• Ability to leverage the latest AI technologies to enhance cloud security monitoring solutions

Responsibilities

• Develop Strategy and Vision for securing ServiceNow public clouds based on security risk, industry trends and compliance requirements
• Provide technical expertise throughout the design, implementation, and delivery of scalable security controls and solutions
• Transform business requirements and functional specifications into security designs
• Work with the Security Engineering team to support internal and external stakeholders
• Influence key technical decisions and drive cross functional execution to build and manage cutting-edge security solutions
• Partake in efforts that shape the organization’s security policies and standards for use in hybrid cloud environments
• Strategically addresses global events and trends that impact the industry and challenges org to address issues using a broad global view
• Contribute to the team’s 3 yr roadmap

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ServiceNow platform development is a plus
• Cloud Certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
