Senior Staff Software Engineer

You will contribute to building and scaling core services for payment, ledger, identity, and settlement functions. Requirements

• Bachelor or above degree in Computer Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years of technical leadership experience in a hands-on capacity
• Experience with Java frameworks and tools such as Spring (core/web/boot), Gradle and JUnit
• Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, such as MySQL/PostgreSQL/DynamoDB
• Experience designing and implementing services in distributed services environment at scale
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as DataDog for maintaining high availability
• Ability to write high-quality code that is testable, maintainable, scalable, and secure
• Ability to work on a globally-distributed team with a high degree of ownership
• Experience leading the delivery of multiple highly impactful products end to end, on time with a high quality bar
• Experience working with technical and non-technical stakeholders, successfully aligning and setting expectations on scope and delivery
• Ability to drive yourself and your team to bring quality and consistency to their code and architecture, without compromising velocity
• Ability to grow in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that will challenge you to always bring your best
• Experience in designing and developing solutions that maximize ROI and lead to significant business impact

Responsibilities

• Be part of the shared service team, responsible for the core platform covering major business functions such as Payment, Ledger, Identity&Auth, Settlement etc
• Design, develop, test, and scale the platform needed to deliver great user and partner experiences and a reliable end-to-end payment process
• Work closely with your product, design and engineering peers to solve our users' most pressing problems around rent payment
• Roll out changes to our customers in an agile manner with a delivery cadence that favors small, frequent iterations
• Lead scoping, design, prioritization, and implementation for APIs and services
• Drive production rollouts to completion with minimum oversight

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in FinTech and familiar with major payment rails
• Experience working on AWS cloud based applications
