Senior Staff Software Engineer

Summary

Requirements

• 10+ years of backend software engineering with experience building and scaling distributed systems
• Strong hands-on expertise in microservices, AWS/Azure, Kubernetes, serverless (e.g. Lambda), and modern CI/CD
• Experience leading complex platform initiatives with cross-functional collaboration
• Excellent communication, mentorship, and decision-making skills
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field; Master’s/PhD is a plus

Responsibilities

• Architect and scale the company’s next-gen Risk Platform in close partnership with senior engineering and product leaders
• Lead end-to-end design, development, deployment, and operations of risk services and systems
• Collaborate across teams including AI, Data, Risk & Compliance, and Product to deliver secure and innovative solutions
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning
• Drive observability, platform reliability, and operational readiness in a cloud-native environment
• Set long-term technical direction and champion modern engineering practices

Preferred Qualifications

Background in risk systems, payments, or other highly regulated domains is a plus
