Senior Subject Matter Expert

Summary

Join Agile Defense as a Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) to leverage your specialized knowledge in supporting the Criminal Justice Information Services Division’s (CJIS) enterprise service initiatives. This role demands a deep understanding of technical and organizational complexities, guiding Agile teams in delivering high-impact solutions. You will provide leadership in your area of expertise (data, application architecture, security, or enterprise systems), ensuring alignment with CJIS’s mission and strategic goals. Adaptability and collaboration are crucial in this SAFe Agile environment. The position is remote but requires occasional on-site visits to Clarksburg, WV. Travel costs are not reimbursed. Requirements

• Possess a deep understanding of both technical and organizational complexities
• Minimum of seven (7) years of hands-on experience with the Atlassian tool suite (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo) at the enterprise level, including configuration, administration, and troubleshooting
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in managing, configuring, and customizing Atlassian products for large organizations, ensuring scalability, performance optimization, and adherence to enterprise best practices
• Demonstrated experience in integrating Atlassian tools with other enterprise systems (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, version control systems) and automating processes using tools such as Jira Automation, scripts, and REST APIs
• Demonstrated two (2) years of experience in leading a team of administrators and providing tiered support for Atlassian tools, managing user permissions, security configurations, and ensuring the tools are aligned with organizational requirements and workflows
