Summary

Join SMX as a Sr. Systems Admin/Technical Project Manager specializing in Microsoft Office 365 Administration. You will be part of the Corporate IT team, supporting employee migration to secure platforms and delivering enterprise services. Hands-on administration of Office 365, Intune, Azure AD, and other services is required. You will oversee IT projects, manage teams, and ensure timely completion of work while adhering to security standards. The role demands strong technical skills, project management experience, and excellent communication abilities. US citizenship is mandatory due to DoD contract requirements.

Requirements

  • US citizenship required for work under DoD contracts
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Endpoint Manager – Device management, enrollment, compliance/configuration, etc
  • Conditional Access
  • Mobile Application Management (MAM)
  • Experience with protecting data via Azure Information Protection
  • Labeling of files via Azure Information Protection
  • DLP policies
  • Identify security risks within Office 365 environment and services and suggest mitigations
  • Support adoption and change efforts
  • Ability to support peripheral Office 365 functionality as needed
  • Strong problem-solving skills, includes troubleshooting, problem analysis and resolution, good judgment/decision making ability
  • Excellent communication, time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated; ability to maintain excellence with minimum supervision

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on support during IT projects
  • Provide oversight and project management duties for IT projects as Technical PM
  • Interact with client leadership and technical teams to define project requirements and identify solutions consistent with defined terms, methodology, policy, and regulations
  • Lead the team through the execution of a project and monitor progress to assure deadlines and security standards
  • Provide leadership guidance and direction to personnel to ensure proper, timely completion of work
  • Communicate project status to IT leadership
  • Experience with agile methodologies and practices
  • Demonstrated managerial experience leading employees supporting IT services

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4-year degree preferred or similar work experience
  • 2+ years in a Technical PM delivery role
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Office 365 Administration
  • Experience working as an Office 365 administrator
  • Experience working with Office 365 Intune and Azure Information Protection
  • Three or more years' experience in systems deployment/admin, network operations, software support or IT Consulting
  • Strong knowledge of any Windows OS, Mobile device OS, Client/Server knowledge, PowerShell scripting, Microsoft Active Directory, understanding of Cloud Service Providers and services
  • Ability to work within a team environment and independently
