Summary

The job is for a Senior Tech Lead to lead the evolution of Daltix's core web scraping and data collection platform, guide a team, and drive technical solutions in a fully remote role within Europe.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of senior professional experience in large-scale web scraping with JavaScript, Node.js, Puppeteer and Playwright
  • 2-3 years of modern Python experience, or equivalent experience in SQL
  • Professional experience reverse engineering Android apps and their APIs
  • Deep knowledge of how modern websites work and are built (SPAs, GraphQL, Ajax, Service Workers, headers, cookies, JWTs, websockets, caching etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, TLS, HTTP/2, QUIC, DNS, WAF, web browser internals, OAuth flows, networking and security principles, including hands-on experience with MITM traffic interception
  • Seasoned knowledge and strong experience in bypassing leading anti-bot systems (Cloudflare, Akamai, Imperva, PerimeterX, Datadome etc.)
  • Experience in evaluating, integrating, and negotiating partnerships with third party proxy providers
  • 3+ years of senior-level SRE/DevSecOps/Platform Engineering/Sysadmin or similar experience, ideally on AWS; exposure to Kubernetes environments, IaC, large scale job orchestration and GitOps workflows a strong plus
  • Experience running on-call teams that need to provide 7 day operational cover
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills are essential for effective communication across our European team and stakeholders

  • Solve complex issues with robust solutions, seeking out novel methods and approaches to tackle tough challenges
  • Drive your team towards operational nirvana, ensuring work is executed and delivered with the highest standards of quality and care
  • Collaborate across disciplines, working closely with principle engineers, data scientists, data analysts, project managers and sales teams
  • Articulate the value and impact of your team's work to the wider company with excellent verbal and written English
