Senior Technical and UX Writer

Summary

Join Emplifi's Design team as a Senior Technical & UX Writer to create user-friendly product documentation and in-product content. Collaborate with various teams to ensure consistent, user-aligned content across UI and documentation. Manage documentation systems and workflows in Confluence, bringing a first-time-user mindset to feature development and documentation. Contribute to cross-functional innovation and champion consistency, documentation governance, and accessibility. This role requires experience in technical writing, UX content, or documentation in a tech or SaaS setting, familiarity with Confluence and Jira, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Requirements

• Experience with technical writing, UX content, or documentation in a tech or SaaS setting
• Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, and working in agile or cross-functional teams
• Ability to make complex topics clear, concise, and approachable
• A collaborative mindset and openness to working with designers, researchers, and engineers
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English

Responsibilities

• Write and manage user-friendly product documentation and in-product content to support users navigation and ease of use
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering, and UX Research teams to co-create consistent, user-aligned content across UI and documentation
• Support documentation systems and workflows in Confluence , including managing templates, permissions, macros and space structure
• Bring a first-time-user mindset during feature development and documentation
• Contribute to cross-functional innovation , including how AI-poweered tools (like our in-app Librarian) can support smart and contextual experiences
• Champion consistency, documentation governance, and accessibility with across all content touchpoints

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with information architecture or structured content system
• Understanding UX writing principles and content design fundamentals (like tooltips, error messages, onboarding)
• Experience with using Scroll Documents, Scroll Viewport, and workflow apps in Confluence
• Experience collaborating directly within product design process and in Figma
• Curiosity about AI, automation, or new ways of delivering content
• Feeling comfortable reviewing user feedback, participating in occasional user conversations
