Summary

Join Hitachi Vantara as a Senior Technical Consultant and provide in-depth post-sales technical delivery to clients. Collaborate with support functions to boost product and service sales while ensuring high customer satisfaction. Design, configure, implement, and document Hitachi Vantara solutions for diverse clients. Work with the project manager to maintain project status communication and progress. Successfully transition projects from implementation to operations, coaching junior consultants, and building client confidence in Hitachi Vantara's technology and services. Maintain a positive attitude and uphold high performance standards. The role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication, and a customer-centric approach.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of working experience and good technical knowledge of storage, compute and networking
  • Possess general understanding of ITIL framework and ITSM
  • Ability to prioritize projects and deliverables
  • Attention to detail – producing accurate and full work in accordance with requests
  • Knowledge Sharing – helping to develop technical and process Knowledge across the team
  • Strong Customer Orientation
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform the assigned tasks, whilst building a customer's confidence in HV, HV's technology, and HV’s services team
  • These services are both technical and consultative
  • You will take responsibility for a smooth transition from implementation to Operations
  • Deliver handover information to integration and support staff
  • With a requirement to coach Associate Technical Consultants, you maintain a can-do attitude, earn a reputation of trust, integrity, and high performance
  • Provide day-to-day administration, monitoring and troubleshooting of the Storage, Compute, Data Protection environments
  • Perform incident troubleshooting and mitigation actions
  • Drive & run Change requests, tasks & service requests relating to commissioning/decommissioning changes and DC move and refresh activities under established guidelines
  • Follow the established policies, procedures and practices defined by Hitachi for managing the infrastructure
  • Work with the 3rd-party vendors to bring resolution to incidents
  • Create and modify support documentation for the supported environment following established guidelines
  • Provide weekly and monthly operations reports to the Service Delivery Manager for the customer and Hitachi
  • Identify and provide suggestions on continuous improvement initiatives within the assigned account(s)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Server Virtualization Technologies (VMware, HyperV, Open Stack, Docker) is highly desirable
  • UNIX, Linux and Windows Systems administration and clustering experience is highly desirable
