Senior Test Engineer-Automation

Join Simpplr as a Senior Test Engineer (Automation) and contribute to the performance and reliability of our AI-powered employee experience platform. You will design, implement, and maintain automation test scripts and frameworks, working alongside a talented team in Gurugram. This role requires significant experience in automation testing, using tools like Cypress or Playwright, and familiarity with Agile methodologies. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our product through various testing mechanisms and providing feedback on release readiness. Requirements

• 5+ years of industrial experience in software testing
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in automation testing
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies
• Exposure to Agile / Scrum methodologies
• Strong proficiency in test automation using Cypress or Playwright
• Strong proficiency in writing TypeScript or JavaScript
• Experience with Cucumber BDD and writing Gherkin scenarios
• Should be capable of manually testing the application and writing manual test cases in BDD (Gherkin) format
• Experience using Jenkins/Github workflow Pipeline for CI/CD
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Hands-on experience of JIRA & Zephyr

Responsibilities

• Design, implementation, maintenance and improvement of automation test scripts and automation framework
• Understand, apply and optimize appropriate test mechanisms (functional, regression.smoke.) and tools to improve the verification efficiency through automation
• Continuously improve the automation framework, tools, and processes
• Prioritize and manage workload in order to deliver quality results and meet timelines
• Providing feedback on release readiness
• Participation in requirement analysis and walkthrough

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar is a plus
• Good knowledge of test frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG is a plus
• Good knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or JMeter
