Join Zoic Studios, a Visual Effects company, as a Senior Tracking and Matchmove Artist in our Vancouver office. This role requires extensive experience in 3D camera reconstruction, matchmove, and related software. You will be responsible for high-level matchmove work, utilizing various techniques and software like Maya, 3D Equalizer, and Nuke. The ideal candidate possesses 6+ years of production experience in a Tracking/Matchmove role and proficiency in body matchmove and shot sculpting. Requirements

• 6+ years of production experience in a Tracking/Matchmove role
• Proficiency in body matchmove and shot sculpting
• Proficiency in 3D Equalizer and Maya
• Proficiency in Nuke
• Knowledge of Shotgun
• Work well in a team environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform senior level 3D camera reconstruction and high level matchmove work
• Complete manual camera tracks and matchmoves in Maya
• Utilize object solves to increase quality and speed
• Perform shot sculpting matchmove work/creating geo to matchmove
• Address creative feedback regarding matchmove work
• Stitch camera in Maya to deal with difficult tasks/merged plates
• Utilize assets like lidar/photogrammetry to create consistent solves
• Work in Nuke to preprep footage and prepare/render distortion plates
• Manage time in a television schedule
• Ingest/QC work from outsource vendors
• Work well in a team environment
• Help junior and intermediate artists with issues occasionally
• Notify leads of any concern with workload/timelines
• Help provide feedback for tools/development

• Experience in layout
• Syntheyes knowledge
• Photogrammetry/lidar skills
• Lens grid solving
• Experience working with little to no set data
