Remote Senior UI Designer

Summary

Join justtrack as a Senior UI Designer with a focus on Design Systems to shape and maintain a cohesive design language across our SaaS product. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build, refine, and implement a comprehensive design system.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design or a related field, with a focus on design systems
• Design System Expertise: Proven experience in building and maintaining scalable design systems for digital products, ensuring consistency and efficiency
• UI Design Skills: Strong visual design skills with a keen eye for detail, capable of creating polished, user-centered interfaces that align with brand identity and usability standards
• Self-motivation & Collaboration: Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, ambiguous work environment, with the ability to manage projects both independently and as part of a team
• Strategic Thinking: Proficiency in strategic thinking, enabling the alignment of design decisions with overarching business objectives and product vision
• Tools Knowledge: Expertise in Figma is essential. Experience with other design and prototyping tools such as Sketch or ProtoPie is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design System Development: Build and maintain a robust, scalable design system that standardizes UI components, patterns, and visual styles across all justtrack products
• UI Design: Create intuitive, visually compelling UI designs that enhance the usability and aesthetic appeal of our software
• Component Library Management: Develop and manage a library of reusable components to ensure consistency and efficiency in the design and development process
• Stakeholder Management: Work closely with designers, product leads, and developers to ensure that design system components are effectively implemented as intended and aligned with user needs
• Documentation & Guidelines: Document design decisions, create usage guidelines, and ensure that the design system is easily accessible to the wider team
• Iterate & Evolve: Continuously refine and evolve the design system based on feedback, new design trends, and product needs
• Advocate for best practices: Champion best practices in UI design and design systems, ensuring that all products adhere to the latest industry standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Optional: Previous experience in designing for a complex SaaS product such as an analytics-focused or data visualization environment
• Optional: Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g. React) and component development tools (e.g. Storybook)
