Senior Visual/UI Designer

Summary

Join ShiftKey as a Senior UI/Visual Designer and contribute to designing high-quality visual assets that enhance our product and brand. As a key contributor, you will ensure our design language is consistently upheld while inspiring others to become brand advocates.

Requirements

• 5+ years of visual design experience in the digital space
• Strong understanding of user research methodologies and can demonstrate past applications in design
• Design portfolio with at least 5 case studies demonstrating expert knowledge of design principles, the design thinking process, and user-centered design
• Expert understanding of digital design (print experience is a plus)
• Demonstrated use of Material Design and Apple Human Interface Guidelines
• Experience working across native iOS and Android apps as well as responsive web
• Solid understanding of Figma and its component libraries
• Proficiency in Adobe products (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
• Ability to produce and share visual assets effectively with stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Set the vision for visual design across our software UI and other brand touchpoints
• Ensure all visual projects are aligned with the current brand expression and maintain cohesion
• Independently manage design projects from conception through delivery
• Prioritize and deliver all visual design tasks with high fidelity
• Collaborate effectively across teams and departments
• Clearly communicate concepts to mentees, peers, leaders, and stakeholders using appropriate artifacts for persuasive recommendations
• Support and protect the design integrity of the product and brand vision, integrating user research insights where applicable
