Senior Web3 Backend Engineer

Summary

The job description is for a Senior Backend Engineer position at prePO, a decentralized trading platform. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems with TypeScript, NestJS, Postgres, Prisma, Docker, GitHub Actions, and Viem. The ideal candidate should have 4+ years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer, advanced knowledge of the backend tech stack, complementary skills in devops, infra, and Solidity smart contract engineering, significant experience writing comprehensive backend test suites, strong working knowledge of backend design patterns and security best practices, exceptional technical communication skills, in-depth knowledge of economics, finance, and the financial sector, and up-to-date practical knowledge of the DeFi (and broader crypto) landscape. Requirements

• Have 4+ years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer
• Advanced knowledge of our backend tech stack
• Complementary skills in devops, infra, and Solidity smart contract engineering
• Significant experience writing comprehensive backend test suites
• Strong working knowledge of backend design patterns and security best practices
• Significant experience collaborating within an engineering team and reviewing code
• Exceptional technical communication skills (written and verbal)
• In-depth knowledge of economics, finance, and the financial sector
• In-depth and up-to-date practical knowledge of the DeFi (and broader crypto) landscape

Responsibilities

• Drive high-level decisions about the prePO backend architecture
• Write well-documented, performant, clean, and re-usable backend code
• Collaborate with product owners, frontend developers, and smart contract engineers
• Work at a rapid pace with a large amount of ownership and autonomy
