Summary

Join Miro's Meeting Platform team as a Software Engineer and contribute to the development of real-time media streaming and quality optimizations for our WebRTC-based video call feature. You will work across various software layers, including browser, WebRTC internals, backend services, and internet routing, to achieve top performance. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and testing scalable and high-performance software, implementing bandwidth estimation, and improving video call experience and quality. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in WebRTC and SFU-based architectures, experience with video call adaptation to network instabilities, and proficiency in Typescript/JS and a low-level language. This is a fully remote role requiring strong experience in remote team collaboration. Requirements

  • Expertise with WebRTC and SFU-based real-time architectures
  • Experience in adapting video calls to handle network instabilities using WebRTC Stats or Bandwitdh Estimation
  • Experience with Recording for SFU realtime solutions and/or Video post-processing
  • Highly proficient in Typescript/JS and at least one low-level language such C, C++ or Rust
  • You have already worked with a team on a real-time video and audio product
  • You will be working in a fully distributed remote team - we expect you to have strong previous experience in working in a remote organization

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to software for real-time media streaming and quality optimizations
  • Work across software layers including browser, WebRTC internals, backend services and internet routing to achieve top performance
  • Bring your experience to improve reliability and performance
  • Design, develop and test a scalable and high-performance software
  • Research and implement bandwidth estimation (BWE) to predict network instabilities and act before they impact users
  • Design, implement, and test new features to improve video calls experience and quality in the board
