Summary

Join Lightspeed's Talent Operations, Systems and Insights team as a Senior Workday Specialist for a 12-month temporary position. You will be a subject matter expert for Workday's Absence, Payroll, and Time Tracking modules, ensuring accurate and efficient operations. Key responsibilities include system configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, process improvement, and deploying new features. You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and build technical solutions. The ideal candidate possesses 4+ years of Workday experience, a strong understanding of payroll regulations, and expertise in absence policy management. Requirements

  • 4+ years of technical experience working with Workday, with a focus on Absence, Payroll and/or Time Tracking modules
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations and best practices and experience supporting payroll cycles (Canada and United States)
  • Great understanding of absence policy management - for multiple countries
  • Deep knowledge of configuring custom reports and handling large data sets
  • Experience maintaining data integrity across enterprise HR systems and conducting audits
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and HR systems

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to day-to-day Workday strategy, operations and support across different modules
  • Subject matter expert for Payroll, Absence and Time Tracking
  • Manage system security roles and permissions for the Absence, Payroll and Time Tracking modules
  • Partner with various stakeholders in People and Culture team to gather business requirements and build technical solutions to deliver on their programs
  • Collaborate with regional payroll representatives to provide technical expertise and support for payroll operations
  • Responsible for maintaining the Absence and Time Off configuration for all of our global locations and configure new Absence and Time Off plans for new and/or existing countries
  • Contribute to a seamless and efficient employee experience by identifying and implementing process improvements in time tracking, absence management, and payroll, working closely with stakeholders to optimize Workday functionality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Background working as an HR Business Analyst
  • HR systems implementation experience
