Summary

Newsela is hiring a Senior-Level Software Engineering Contractor based in Latin America to help deliver high-quality software on time. The contractor will be a key contributor within a software development team, craft great software and automated tests, own feature delivery, provide input for scoping and design, and partner closely with engineering, product management, and product design. They should have 3+ years of full stack experience in software development, intermediate experience in Javascript, Typescript, React, Node, GraphQL, Apollo Client, MongoDB, Kubernetes, and accessibility development using WCAG, Accessibility Testing, Storybook, and Accessible Atomic Design Systems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of full stack experience in software development
• Intermediate experience in Javascript, Typescript, React, Node, GraphQL, Apollo Client, MongoDB, and Kubernetes
• Firm understanding of accessibility including Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), Accessibility Testing, Storybook, and Accessible Atomic Design Systems
