Summary

Join ELEKS DevOps Office in Dubai for a short-term (2-4 months) contract as a Middle/Senior DevOps Engineer. This role involves working on an internal communication and document exchange system. You will be responsible for proposing and implementing DevOps solutions, setting up environments, integrating CI/CM systems, and developing documentation. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering and expertise in Linux administration, Kubernetes, Docker, GitLab, and monitoring systems. The position offers close customer collaboration, challenging tasks, competence development, and a professional team environment.

Requirements

  • Have 5+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer
  • Administer Linux OS, Network administration and analysing
  • Administer on-premise Kubernetes cluster
  • Administer Linux containers, Docker, ContainerD, Private Registry
  • Administer GitLab Server, CI/CD pipelines, k8s integrations
  • Administer monitoring system based on Prometheus/Grafana/Alertmanager stack
  • Use VPN and SSH tools
  • Have scripting ability with tools like Bash and Python
  • Use Helm
  • Have valid competence-related certifications

Responsibilities

  • Propose and implement DevOps solutions from scratch
  • Setup and configure environments from scratch
  • Provide CI/CM systems integration and configuration
  • Propose and implement deployment solutions
  • Help team with configuration and administration tasks
  • Develop and implement document setup and configuration instructions, troubleshooting tips
  • Conduct assessment and justification of the recommended solutions
  • Communicate and approve technical requirements with stakeholders
  • Evaluate and justify terms of task completion. Assign tasks to developers, and monitor task implementation
  • Provide training(s) on the project

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have hands-on experience in Kafka cluster administration in k8s
  • Administer MongoDB
  • Administer PostgreSQL
  • Have Artifactory Nexus experience
  • Have hands-on experience in ELK or EFK centralized logging
  • Administer Jenkins
  • Have hands-on experience in Istio, Canary deployments in k8s
  • Manage HTTPS/TLS, SSL certificates
  • Administer NGINX servers
