Senior/Staff Game Engineer

Summary

Join Singularity 6, a Los Angeles-based game development studio, as a Game Engineer and contribute to the development of Palia, a multiplayer community sim game. You will be part of a cross-functional team, working closely with designers and other engineers. Requirements

• Be a strong programmer well-versed in C++ game systems in Unreal Engine 5
• Be comfortable developing and debugging in multithreaded code and multiplayer networked systems
• Take responsibility for developing automated tests, instrumenting telemetry and participating in peer review of your work and the work of your colleagues
• Help support our on-call team by diagnosing issues and fixing bugs

Responsibilities

• Participate in developing Palia as part of a cross-functional team
• Develop game systems for Palia
• Develop and debug in multithreaded code and multiplayer networked systems
• Develop automated tests
• Instrument telemetry
• Participate in peer review of your work and the work of your colleagues
• Help support the on-call team by diagnosing issues and fixing bugs

Preferred Qualifications

• Have 5 or more years of experience developing and shipping games using a modern game engine
• Have prior experience in Unreal Engine and/or multiplatform experience
• Have a passion for great gameplay
• Be a pragmatic engineer that puts player experience over your own ego and code
• Want to learn something new
