Shop Technician/Jr.Engineer

Summary

AIBOT is hiring a full-time Technician/Jr. Engineer to assist with mechanical and electrical design and technical tasks in Long Beach, CA. The employee will install and perform diagnostic tests on systems, troubleshoot malfunctions, document processes, maintain the shop environment, and have 5+ years of experience as a Shop Technician with mechanical or electrical engineering background.

Requirements

• High School diploma
• 5+ yrs of experience as a Shop Technician

Responsibilities

• Install and perform diagnostic tests on mechanical and electrical systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as perform repairs
• Document processes, procedures, and other record keeping
• Monitor the availability of parts and replenishing supplies
• Perform technical tasks that include equipment and machinery management, assessment, repair, and maintenance
• Maintain the shop environment by maintaining cleanliness, safety, and quality standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering
• A&P License
• Drone or aerospace/aviation technician experience
• Experience with electrical, software and controls
• Proficiency in mechanical design and diagnostic testing software
• Hand tools experience
• Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
