Site Reliability Engineer in United States

Summary

The job is for a Site Reliability Engineer to work with TileDB Cloud product, manage infrastructure components, and assist in expanding it to other cloud providers. The position allows remote work as long as the employee's legal residence is in the USA and their working day falls within a continental US timezone.

Requirements

• In-depth experience using Kubernetes for production service deployments
• Obsessed with infrastructure as code (we use Terraform)
• Experience running and managing databases
• In-depth knowledge of Linux, networking, and common protocols (DNS, HTTP, TCP etc.)
• Experience with performance monitoring tools (Prometheus, Cloudwatch, etc)
• Software engineering experience
• An automate-everything mindset
• Willing to handle on-call responsibilities as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Manage, configure, and deploy infrastructure components such as Kubernetes clusters, Redis, MariaDB, Cloudflare workers
• Develop tools to automate infrastructure management
• Expand TileDB Cloud to other cloud providers like Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and Alibaba Cloud
• Improve the existing multi-region setup of TileDB Cloud
• Assist with establishing deployments of TileDB Cloud Enterprise edition for on-premise use

Preferred Qualifications

• Software development experience with Go, C++, or Python
• Experience operating, testing, and debugging multi-language or distributed applications
