Summary

Join Devis, a leading software development and consulting firm, as a Site Reliability/DevOps Engineer to support the modernization of the House Clerk’s Office. You will automate deployment processes, maintain cloud infrastructure, and ensure system reliability. Leveraging expertise in Kubernetes, Helm, CI/CD, and IaC, you will enhance operational efficiency as part of an Integrated Program Team (IPT). This position is primarily located on Capitol Hill, with occasional off-site work. The role requires a background check and is contingent upon award.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, site reliability engineering, or related roles
  • Proven experience managing applications in Kubernetes environments and using Helm for deployments
  • Strong expertise in developing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure Pipelines
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar technologies
  • Proficiency in monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, or equivalent
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in complex environments
  • The ability to pass a background check is required

Responsibilities

  • Manage applications in a Kubernetes environment using Helm
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD automation pipelines using Azure Pipelines or similar tools
  • Monitor and troubleshoot application performance using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Azure Monitor
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to diagnose issues and optimize system performance
  • Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts using Terraform for cloud environment consistency
  • Support configuration management activities including version control, deployment tracking, and change management
  • Maintain test data sets and manage permissions and access control for necessary resources
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in cloud environments, particularly within Microsoft Azure
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and DevOps best practices
  • Prior experience in government IT modernization projects or within a federal contracting environment
  • Relevant industry certifications in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or site reliability engineering are a plus
