Remote Smart Grid Research Analyst

Summary

Join our Power and Utilities Research team as a fully remote Research Associate specializing in smart grid and grid modernization technologies. This role involves technology scouting, primary research, desk research, preparing presentations, and deepening industry relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related scientific field
• At least four years experience, including one or more years working in professional services delivery or a related role inside a utility
• Exposure to the operations and culture of the utility industry
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple workstreams while working in a remote or hybrid environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct technology scouting to identify providers of commercially available technology solutions
• Conduct primary research to identify companies recognized for investigating and/or deploying technologies
• Conduct desk research to review literature on the topic
• Prepare and deliver presentations based on combined primary and secondary research
• Deepen relationships/industry network by establishing connections with technology providers and utility professionals
