Summary

Join UWorld as an independent contractor to develop video lectures for students preparing for the MCAT. As a college professor with a strong sociology background, you will work collaboratively with a team of video lecturers. This remote position offers flexibility in setting your own schedule. You will be responsible for writing scripts, developing slideshows, and working with the video production team to create high-quality educational content. A Master's degree in sociology or a related field and teaching experience are required. Compensation is up to $50 per hour.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in sociology or a related field
  • Teaching experience at the undergraduate level
  • Experience making educational videos or lectures
  • Passion for education and learning
  • Ability to communicate difficult scientific concepts clearly and concisely in both written and verbal formats
  • Ability to think strategically and analytically and transform conceptual ideas into a finished, visually appealing product
  • Focus on meeting project deadlines
  • Proven history of working independently while operating within a team environment
  • Ability to provide and receive feedback positively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite products

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Team Lead of Video Content in the creation of MCAT video lectures
  • Write cohesive scripts and develop slideshows for video lectures
  • Receive and apply constructive feedback on video lectures
  • Work with video production team to deliver a finished product
  • Collaborate with management to ensure project deadlines are met
  • As needed, come to our studio to record video lectures

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level
  • 1+ year of experience making educational videos or lectures
  • Experience in science communication
