Software Architect

Summary

Join 66degrees as a senior contractor for a remote 4+ month assignment on Google Cloud projects. Ideal candidate should have extensive experience in microservices architecture, Java proficiency, and cloud-native application development.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience designing, architecting, and implementing microservices architecture
• 5+ years of experience in designing architecture
• Proficiency in Java is required. As well as one of the following: JavaScript, Python, or Typescript
• Experience developing applications on the Google Cloud Platform suite of products and services is desirable
• Deep knowledge of software architecture in distributed systems
• Able to conduct code reviews and mentor software engineers
• 5+ years of experience in developing cloud-native applications
• Experience in both front-end and back-end development (must have deeper experience in backend development, but familiarity and exposure with full-stack development required)
• Familiar with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD)
• Familiar with the scrum process and Git
• Experience establishing CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software delivery
• Background in professional services/consulting
• Strong communication skills
• Eager to work in a teamwork/collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications

Accountable for App dependencies (e.g. 3rd party restful calls, Kafka, Database, and Ping) is desired however not required
