Software Architect

Summary

Join Altium's development team as a Software Architect to define and build our web application. Collaborate closely with Product Management and the Altium platform architecture team. Continuously review and update product architecture, design and develop software solutions, and document all aspects of applications. Create migration plans, leverage cloud technologies, and engage with customers and partners. Mentor tech leads and foster a culture of technical excellence. This role requires 10+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years in architectural leadership. Experience with various technologies and compliance standards is essential. Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software development with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in architectural leadership role
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to manage issue resolution - including the identification of issues, developing a resolution plan, and executing the changes needed
• Experience with backend (Node.js, PostgreSQL and Python) and modern front-end (AngularJS) frameworks
• Experience using Source Control such as Github
• Proven experience designing and scaling B2B SaaS platforms on AWS
• Deep understanding of multi-tenancy, API-first design, and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with compliance standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR)
• Experience integrating AI/ML models into production SaaS environments
• Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code

Responsibilities

• Continuously review and update product architecture as needed to align with product roadmap
• Design, develop, and execute software solutions to address business requirements
• Documenting and recording every aspect of an application or software
• Create plan on migrating Part Analytics application to Altium product
• Leverage available technologies like cloud, automation, AI/ ML to deliver state of the art solution to our customers
• Engage with customers and external partners as needed to support business priorities
• Mentor tech leads and senior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional is a plus
• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, Kinesis)
